Mid Level Oracle DBA
Candidate should have 5 years of Oracle Database Administration Experience with the following skills:
- Profiicent in SQL performance tuning (must be able to recommend tuning solutions)
- Must be able to identify expensive sql statements and recommend tuning alternatives
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical database and network environments
- Ability to monitor for performance
- Knowledge SAN or Cluster technologies a plus
- Knowledge in daily maintenance of the Database
Proficient in RAC, 10G, and 10giAS
Job Description:
The qualified candidate performs complex database management systems (DBMS) functions to include both development and administrative tasks. Assignments, which are in direct support of software development and maintenance teams, include database analysis, security support, design, software use, and performance monitoring and tuning. Reviews and ensures integrity via standardized support tools. Ensures that assignments are performed in accordance with database administration guidelines, standards and procedures for applications development, implementation, testing, and migration. Responds to complex customer-reported systems problems. Evaluates and recommends use of software, guidelines, and procedures. Evaluates and develops project plans. Provides DBMS expertise to other development groups as requested. Works on extremely complex problems. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures to be used on new projects. Regularly interacts with management and customers on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Under general direction, designs, implements and maintains complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management.
Required Skills:
The candidate should have a BS degree and at least 4 years of experience or 8 years of total experience in lieu of degree. Hands-on Oracle RDBMS development and administrative experience to include Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Backup, Recovery, Performance tuning and User administration. Must also have strong Oracle SQLPLUS and PL/SQL skills that include a thorough understanding of packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Must be experienced in Oracle 10g RAC and above on both LINUX and UNIX platforms. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with the client and effectively with other team members. Capability to research, test, recommend and direct the deployment of security protocols that include application of security patches; provide interpretation and responses to vulnerability assessments from written benchmarks or scanning tools; develop corrective action plans to remediate security vulnerabilities; describe the assessment and mitigation of system and project level risks. The candidate must be a US Citizen or green card holder and able to pass the requirements for a SECRET clearance. Job Description:
Designs and develops detailed business reports supporting the Client organization using Oracle (Seibel/Hyperion) reporting tools and Oracle PL/SQL. Serves as an in-house BIEE plus expert and provides troubleshooting assistance to the business users who design their Ad Hoc Reports.
Responsible for gathering, reviewing, and validating business needs and reporting requirements with business end users in a variety of functional areas and determine/recommend a reporting solution which fits their needs. Also responsible for the design, development, automation and execution of reports based on previously gathered requirements and/or delivered functional specification as determined.

Data Warehouse Developer
Skills:
Concept Analysis and Integration, LLC. is currently looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Data Modeler/Developer with at least 8 years of relevant experience. The position will be responsible for leading and implementing Data Warehouse modelling and ETL processes.
The Sr. Data Modeler role is responsible for the creation of the data warehouse data models and for ensuring the proper data analysis requirements are captured and documented to achieve the business objectives of the project.
Responsibilities:
• Designs dimensional data models for the needs of a project
• Develops and captures appropriate data model metadata
• Conducts initial data profiling and data quality investigations
• Leads data modeling sessions
• Leads user interviews
• Assists in source to target mapping
• Assists DBA with implementation of physical data model
• Leads and participates in ETL development to meets model's needs
Requirements:
• A BS in MIS or equivalent in related education and related professional
work experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience with Dimensional Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Strong end-user facing communication skills
